One of the hardest things to forgive yourself for is past behaviours that have hurt others or yourself. The guilt is heavy and walks alongside you, weighing you down. 'Forgiveness' is a meeting between a woman and herself, begging to be forgiven. The work explores our preconceived ideas of good and bad, black and white, past and present and our constant struggle to strike what we perceive as an acceptable balance. Guilt is often a sign of emotional growth and maturity as you become aware of your actions. But the road to acceptance is hard and most often we are harshest with ourselves.
