She must continue to be a pillar of strength, as a mother, as a partner, as a woman. She feels she can only break down and show the toll it takes when she is alone. She is wrong. What connects us is this very exposure of our emotion and allowing ourselves to be vulnerable with each other.
When this truth is received with kindness and empathy, a strong bond of trust is formed. And our humanity prevails over our fear.
