This work is a merging of my personal story and the story of my people, my country and my heart.
I have travelled back in time to make sense of the present which remains senseless.
I have searched for my identity and my stability.
I have hunted for answers in the hidden corners of my past but have remained untethered.
The tiles represent places on my Kibbutz. A water tower, bread cutting machine, watch tower, an old fig tree.
The cracks describe the fall of the Kibbutz movement and the decay of our society and ourselves.
The flowers symbolise war, death, a burning heart for peace and homesickness.
With so much loss and pain in the world today and particularly in Israel, I wonder how to move forward and find inner and outer peace.
